2010 solo exhibition — Trilogy Of Jam Wu's Solo Exhibition Ⅲ — Blossoms mean — decay, brilliance, and destiny, Bamboo Curtain Studio. © Jam Wu. Photo courtesy of the artist. Against the Folklore This is my first solo exhibition, and it is about the retracing of the intercession of traveling/folklore/new media. The attempt is to continue the exhibition concept of solo gorilla warfare tactics. The culture within the matrix of the folkloric realm is echoed and utilized to organize the social relationship from a commoner’s approach. Correctness of the Poem It will never be right. It can never be reached. Perhaps upon reaching, what’s ahead is filled with darkness and an unknown path. The hiding has never ceased yet the attack has never stopped either. The narrative words are illusive and ambiguous. I snap the pen and return to a poem-less state to conduct reformative labor for myself. Trilogy Just like walking inside Dante’s Inferno, the act of creating is like a crossroad garden reflecting continuously kaleidoscopic-like contrasting angles in the given space; roaming excessively without direction, I attempt to tell you a story amidst the shattered pieces of mirrors. “III: Blossoms mean — decay, brilliance, and destiny” exhibited at the Bamboo Curtain Studio,12 Bamboos. Included in the exhibition are twelve three-dimensional works, one two-dimensional work, one video installation, and one motion installation.
